Publisher's Summary

Bill O'Reilly is mad as hell - and he's not going to let you take it anymore. In his most powerful and personal book yet, this media powerhouse and unstoppable truth-teller takes on those individuals and institutions in American life who are failing in their duties - big-time. In his inimitable style, mixing wit, pugnacity, and plain common sense, O'Reilly kicks butt and takes (and also names) names, from crooked corporate weasels to venal politicians to lazy and/or politically correct bureaucrats to sexually predatory priests and the Church hierarchy that protects them to a media establishment rife with political bias and economically hooked on violence and smut. At the same time that he calls the famous and powerful to account, he dares to get personal, questioning just how much our closest friends, families, and lovers do look out for us, and delivering a powerful message about personal responsibility and self-reliance in an uncertain world. He forces us to ask just how much genuine altruism is left in a society that thrives on self-indulgence and ruthless competition.

Who's Looking Out for You? is a book that boldly confronts our worst fears and biggest problems in a post-9/11, post-corporate-meltdown world. Its sage, candid advice on regaining control and trust in these troubled times will resonate with the millions of readers and viewers who have come to believe in Bill O'Reilly as the man who speaks for them.

A good look at an indecent writer

A twisted pack of lies told by a lying entity with neither decency nor any sense of humanity. He writes to inflate an empty ego and addresses right wing extremists who have substituted narcissism and greed for respect to mankind and this planet.

Worst blow hard since Limbaugh,

Not worth 10 sec of your my time. I'm sorry I even lifted the book to read the inside cover,

O'Reilly wouldn't know a fact if it bit him! If you insist on listening to this guy, you must listen to Al Franken's "Lies and the lieing liars who tell them." Your eyes will be opened after hearing the way that O'Reilly, Coulter and others get away withis crap!

Yes there is a conspiracy, Virginia.

do you need a

Do you selfishly whine about paying any taxes at all? Or perhaps just have a lot of pent-up hate that you are looking to unleash on someone who can't out-yell you? Then Bill O'Reilly will be a perfect role model for you, and you will find his book fascinating.

Who is Looking Out for You

Once again, Bill is right on target. He identifies many issues and problems facing many of us and suggests good strategy for dealing with them.

Have the reviewers actually Read the book?

I have actually listened to this book!!! It seems people are logging onto audible and slamming O?Reilly without listening to the book. I consider myself a critical thinker and I would suggest that if reviewers are going to charge him with lying that they actually produce at least one example from the book. The book is actually very positive and encouraging. I disagree with O?Reilly on several key issues. He is arrogant and bombastic. But, he is a clear thinker and excellent writer (he actually writes his own books, unlike many Celebs). I continue to be puzzled by how hatefully the far left can be of those they consider hateful, and how intolerant they are of anyone they brand as intolerant (with or without proof).

Great stuff.

Love him or hate him, Bill O'Reilly does something that few others dare to; holding people accountable for their actions. Doesn't matter on which side of the fence your politics fall. He attacks both sides in this book. This isn't cupcake questions and wishy-washy allegations. O'Reilly hits his targets fast and hard with stinging wit, solid facts and a good dose of common sense.

seriously....

I would not recommend anyone waste their time with this tripe. O'reilly is so self-righteous and self-congratulatory, that this is just plain hard to listen to.

One of O'Reilly's ARMY -- CCCHHHAAAARRRRRRGGGEEEE

Another direct hit from O'Reilly. Where would we be without him to point out the Facts on any subject? He has taken on the Clinton's -- their lies, Gutter morals, and Bill Clinton's knowledge of Bin Laden for 6 to 8 years. He takes on ?The LIBERAL Media? (Newspapers and TV), points out their lies and gross distortions of the Facts to the people of this country and the world. The most depressing thought is that the people are accepting it at face value. Bill is right about the issues he selects because he has the Facts (the TRUTH). Would we have known that our major News organizations were publishing MAJOR distortions of the Facts (and they still are) and using Technology to change the pictures to worse than actual occurrences? Since I have been watching ?The Factor? no one has bested him. Using his life as reference, he opens up and shares his life, opinions and ways to deal with our current challenges since 9.11. Thanks, Bill

Highly recommended to anyone with an open mind.

This book has little to do with politics ? The focus is on how to tell who has your best interest at heart. O?Reilly uses a wide variety of examples from his own life to examine this subject. Bill provides examples of his failures, successes, and the lessons he has learned so far in life. He explains his philosophy of how human beings should interact and details how he developed these ideas.

To the people who rated this book with one star, it is very apparent from the comments that they didn?t crack the cover. Snoople007 from Manchester, NH betrays his orientation by grouping O?Reilly with right wing personalities Hannity, Limbaugh, Coulter, and Hume. Anyone who listens to O?Reilly knows that he is a very independent voice. Snoople007 throws out the following: ?He's simply not good with facts, and he's not analytical either?. ?. What???
Steve, from Minneapolis, MN, is another far left ?pretend? reviewer. His statement? ?I must admit, I only got 3/4 of the way through this collection of half-truths, misrepresentations and no-truths before I had to throw it away. Hey Steve, how does O?Reilly?s explanation of his experiences and the conclusions he draws from them have anything to do with what you are saying???

O'Reilly exposes the lack of accountability of the elite in this country. There is a very sad lack of understanding by many in this country about the abuses of elitist journalists, politicians, and business executives that Bill O?Reilly points out in this book. If extremists would take the time to listen to what is actually being said, I believe we would have a chance of correcting some of the biggest problems we face. Bill O?Reilly talks about what our founding fathers intended the real America to be and shows, through many examples, what extremists are attempting do to our nation.

Ideologues will not believe any of this however and will continue to read and believe inflammatory tripe from Michael Moore, Ann Coulter, or Al Franken.
