Narrator needs work

The narrator needs to work on changes in voice to different characters and staying consistent with his accents. I found that at times I wasn’t really sure who was speaking between male and female and male to male characters. There were also a few glitches like repeated lines in the audio and some odd breath noises at times also.

this book needs a different narrator

I like the story, however the narrator made it very hard to finish. The male voice reads the female character in first person. And he doesn't do a very good job. And the Irish accent was extremely inconsistent. so instead of enjoying the story all I could hear was bad narration

Omg this Irish accent is HOT!

In Wild Irish we meet Delaney, a woman who's mourning the loss of her sister while setting out on a trip to fulfill a list of adventures her sister never got to complete. Then there's Cillian, a jaded rock star who's known loss from a very young age and is filled with bitterness at the recent betrayal of his brother and band mates. When their paths literally collide they begin to learn, in one wild month together, that loss doesn't always mean a bitter ending and that life is to be lived and not simply to mourn the losses along the way.

Infused with fantastic banter, hot chemistry between Cillian and Delaney, and an underlying vulnerability throughout this love story, Wild Irish is a book you need to get and won't be able to stop listening until it's over. Especially when you get a load of Kyle Maraglio doing an Irish accent. OH. MY. GOD. Seriously, it's worth the listen just for his accent alone. Sadly, his performance of Delaney's chapters are only differentiated because she has an American accent. It's worth the credit for the great story and Kyle's aural performance combined.

One of my top books for 2017

Would you consider the audio edition of Wild Irish to be better than the print version?

It brings the print edition to life, especial when the Irish accent comes in to play. It is one thing to read it, but to hear it adds a whole other layer.

What did you like best about this story?

The love story between two people that don't think they can be loved is just heartbreaking.

What about Kyle Maraglio’s performance did you like?

He has a smooth voice, does the accent justice and goes back and forth between the Owen/Delaney viewpoint with no problem

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Took me a couple of tries, but I have already listened to it 3 times!

Wild Irish Perfection!

Would you listen to Wild Irish again? Why?

I would definitely listen to Wild Irish again! I loved the story when I first read it but the audio book enhanced the story for me.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the Irish accent the narrator used. His voice brought the story more to life for me.

Have you listened to any of Kyle Maraglio’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've never listened to any of Kyle's other performances before but was really impressed with his reading for Wild Irish.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There were moments in the story where I was swept away and ended up laughing or crying while listening to this book. Having someone read it aloud put more emotion into some of the scenes for me.

Wild Irish was my first audio book and I loved it. I enjoyed the Irish brogue that brought the story to life for me. I was very impressed with the narrator's ability to make each character's voice different. I look forward to the next audio book in this series!

great story but too many misunderstandings

The story was wonderful until the "misunderstandings" began to pile up and drag the story down. As a reader they began to get annoying when a simple conversation could have cleared up most of it right away. I listened to the Audio version, and while the Male narrator was very good, too distracting for the female character, a few times taking me out of the story and making me wonder who was speaking.

Read and Listened

I read this book and then I listened to it months later. The part that ruined the listening experience for me was the awkward pauses and breaks. Some of them were really long pauses in the middle of a sentence in places where there shouldn't be a pause at all. I listened at 1.5 speed to try to make up for it, and it worked for the "normal" dialogue, but not for the pauses.

My first audio book!

This is my first ever audio book & I was not disappointed! I had previously read & reviewed this book so I already loved the story of Cillian & Delaney. So hearing it & the sexy Irish accents really brought it to life! Amazing job by Kyle! Hooks you emotionally from the start. Amazing story pacing, beautiful Irish setting, emotions running rampant, witty banter & sexy times that make you wish you were in this story! Absolutely recommend!

I loved Cillian and Delaney's story. My heart broke for Delaney when I read about why she was in Ireland. Then I swooned when she met the brooding but caring and sexy Cillian. They both have suffered heartbreak and together they help each other to overcome it. I loved seeing Cillian and Delaney grow as individuals and as a couple. This was a beautifully emotional story to me.

I was really impressed with Kyle Maraglio reading of Wild Irish. He has a very smooth voice and I loved the Irish accent that he used. Kyle Maraglio goes seamlessly back and forth between the voices of Owen and Delaney making it easy to listen to. His voice brought the story to life and I didn’t want to stop listening until the end. I look forward to listening to more by this narrator.
