Publisher's Summary

Brexley has endured starvation and survived torture.

She has even survived Warwick Farkas, the brutal legend who still haunts her like a ghost, spilling into her thoughts and life. His betrayal made her a prisoner of Killian, the gorgeous Fae Lord of Budapest. There, her life takes another unforeseen twist, something that will change the fragile alliance between the humans and the fae. Brexley finds herself in the middle.

As weeks go by, Brexley discovers that Killian isn’t the malicious leader she was told about. As they spend more time together, their relationship begins to shift. However, when an old acquaintance turns up, she is given the chance to escape the sexy fae leader, and her entire world explodes. She is thrown into a nefarious web of politics, desire, betrayal, lies, and truths that will shatter her foundation and who she is, what she believes, and who she can trust. No longer is there a clear line between good and bad.

Hunted by both sides, Brexley is on the run and must untangle all the lies, deceit, and deceptions, before she becomes another victim in the wild lands.

Giving a 5, but with caution

I actually was very happy with this second book, I thought the it got even better than the first. This series is full of suspense, action, hot men, kick ass women, and lots and lots of sexual tension. This is not an insta-love type of romance. There are plenty of great side supporting characters ( like ash in this one... yum).

I will note, the leading character Brexley can be tough to swallow. But if you can just go with it and kinda laugh at her then i think you will really enjoy the story. I can tell that the author was aiming for a spoiled girl, who had then "gone through the trenches" and come out the other side as a a badass/murder/kickass/take not shit/ive been through hell type of personality, but her experiences didn't quite measure up. So when she is constantly reminding EVERYONE how badass she is, it just comes of as " ya, girl we hear you... you think you a badass, but your kinda not". ;D lol

I will definitely be listening to the next book and can't wait to see what happens.

Ehhh

So Brexly has been kidnapped and rescued by bombs 4 times now. Ugh is there anything else to this story? And now there are like 5 to 6 different guys she's attracted to and that want her? Come on. And the whole "sexual tension" aspect is getting really old and quite annoying at this point. Just get it over with already! I'm listening to the 3rd book only because I've gone this far.

Super repetitive

Brexley has now been captured 5x. She’s so bad ass but just keeps getting captured??? I don’t see it. She’s escaped the preceding 4 captura in the back of Warwick’s motorcycle following an explosion…… I have a feeling this latest capture will end the same. I don’t know if I’ll read book 3 to find out.

Good!

Overall great! But the amount of escapes on Motorcycles with bombs going off gets a little redundant.

Very good

It’s rare that a second book is just as good as the first! This is quickly becoming my favorite series of the year.

I was a little annoyed with Brexley continuously declaring how bad ass she is, especially to Warwick who has no doubt been through much much worse. Makes her seem very childish (which I know she is only 19, but still), and NOT like someone who has gone through extreme trauma and made it out tougher than before.

Also, where is Warwick getting his endless supply of bombs? Lol he’s kind of a one trick pony now

Will continue, love the story and characters

Love the story and characters, the world is super vivid and I have to know what happens. I was just a little disappointed in the ending as it felt repetitive but I still want to continue!

Better

Still had some issues with this book but I found it to be an improvement over the first one. Some annoying parts but overall good. Looking forward to seeing how the world is expanded.

Oh I have fun with this one

There is action, there is tension, there is 🌶
Plot twists 👍
World building 👍
Bingeability 👍
It has all favorite romance tropes, but is not predictable or cliche. In short, paranormal romance done well. Highly recommend.

Brilliant and addicting

Loved this book so much. So much excitement, angst and action. The story moved at a cracking pace, and was just as good if not better than the first. Loved every moment of it. And the narrator, Eva Kaminsky is absolutely awesome. This series and narrator are dynamite!
