Divina Langley-Kemp is fed up with the pompous, overbearing men in her life. From her father to her ex-husband, she's beyond over their arrogance and high-handedness. All she wants is peace and quiet to live her life on her own terms. Instead, she gets Grant Easton, a drop-dead gorgeous blast from the past who's more trouble than her ex-husband and father combined.

Grant Easton finally has the Langley family in the palm of his hand. His long-awaited revenge of crushing them financially and ruining their prestigious reputation will soon come to fruition. Can anything stop the unscrupulous mogul from exacting his revenge?

Only having the beautiful and elusive Divina Langley-Kemp in his bed.

Grant drives Divina insane and infuriates her to no end, but more than anything, he makes her feel vibrantly alive. She's a stubborn hellion, unwilling to bend an inch and defying Grant at every turn. With an unassuming smile Divina can bring him to his knees, making her his ultimate weakness.

They have a bittersweet and tumultuous history that neither can forget. Will love be enough to overcome the sins of the past once and for all?

Cliche and boring

My god, this is just too long and stretched to high hell. Did we really need 13 hours to tell this cliche, simple ass story???? Of course not! Literally the synopsis is the entire story. Oh, and the rest is a bunch of overly done plug ins and unnecessary guest appearances from other books speaking about side plots no one would know about unless you've read those books. The end. I officially dislike all D. A. Young books. I've read enough of her novels to conclude, they're all on the same level as a more unbelievable, lack luster Tyler Perry movie . Literally, its just the synopsis you've already read and a bunch of pointless talk from too many no-name characters distracting you from the supposed plot. Its so annoying. I mean how many filler family get togethers can you have in one story before you get on with the dame plot????

Love it

So happy to catch up with the Kismet Cove characters and to see happy conclusions to heartbreaking and nasty situations. Nice as well to have an appearance from 2 of the Whiskey Row characters! Kudos to Mari and Leon for lending their narrative skills to help bring this story to life by audio. D A Young is an excellent story teller who writes 3 dimensional characters with heart and grit.

love the story....hate the male narrator!

I couldn't wait to hear the audio for this book. I enjoyed reading it the first time around and just knew that the narratives would make it some much more engrossing. Unfortunately, everytime the male narrator read his portion all I got was irritated! why does he sound like he's eating or sucking on candy or something the entire time he reads? it's distraction destroys the mental pictures and makes the story way less enjoyable! so disappointed I was so looking forward to this one!

Long for no reason

This author needs to understand how to edit. There’s so much unnecessary exposition. So many plot points and internal dialogues that belabor the message. there were confusing jumps through time and a lot of unexplained events. Also there are humongous holes in the story logic of the story. Unless this is an installment, there was no need to have so many secondary and tertiary characters. And even if it is, those characters were given too much time and attention in a story that wasn’t about them. This author’s writing style leaves a lot to be desired and made for a messy story that would have been good if not for all the superfluous fluff added in.

And the Winner is...

The winners in this case are the listener and reader. I am both! I purchased the book the day it dropped. I finally tried Audible a few months ago and began the Whiskey Row Series to this one. I loved the performers/narration. I fell in love with this Grant and Davina all over again.
I'm really hoping we get to here about India, Lincoln, Charlie and Mike and the rest of the crew. Ms. Young is excellent at her craft!

AWESOME

Great story, great transitions. I love how she brings the other 3 series into this one. I love how she continues to tell this huge story through the various series. Very smart and intelligent writer.

Great

I really liked this book and would recommend it. It had a great storyline and sexual storylines. This couple was crazy mad together in a good way. I can't wait to hear more of the love stories that are sure to come from this community. I didn't see the betrayal of V's mother coming. I'm usually good at picking up on what is going to happen. I thought the secret was tha V was the scientist daughter or that Savee was Tillers' daughter. I bet he and V make up once it comes out that she reminds him to much of the love of his life as soon as grandchildren come into the picture ( crazy old man).

D.A. Young is a great talent writer. Keep up the good work. I thought the Whiskey Row men stories were the best, but wild didn't D.A. Young prove me wrong. lol

As always Mari was a great narrator. Leon almost ruin it with his female characters narratoring. The storyline was, so good that I got passed him. I can't wait for more in this series.

Insta love that last

It may have started as insta love but these two lovers find their road to happily ever after to be long and bumpy. The story is filled with messy relatives, tragedy but love and good friends through it all.
Transitions to refer to other characters storylines were sometimes abrupt and confusing. For that reason I gave it a 4. I felt it was somewhat mislabeled as a stand-alone because it probably would help to have more backstory on other characters. Good story though.
