Publisher's Summary

Though still mourning his recent loss, George Orton is surprisingly content. He's living in a secure compound where teenaged werewolf Ally is being trained to control her animalistic tendencies, and mad science experiment Eugene has regained most of his sanity. George knows they can't stay there forever, but for now, things are pretty good.

Then he receives some shocking news: People at the compound have brought his partner and best friend Lou back to life. Not as a flesh-eating zombie; he's the old Lou, as much of a wiseass as before.

But this comes with a great big string attached: George and Lou must take a cross-country road trip to kill Asher Anderson, a cloak-wearing lycanthrope who would love to see a war between humans and werewolves.

Does everything go wrong? Of course it does. This is George and Lou.

But they won't travel alone. Because Lou isn't the only one who was brought back to life...

Another Great Volume in the Series

This picks up shortly after where Wolf Hunt 2 ended. The world is different for George and Lou. Not necessarily for the better. Our two favorite thugs are worse for wear but still kicking. Their banter continues to provide great comic relief as they struggle to complete their next assignment. As far as the plot goes, this one was quite a bit different from the first two. I thought of those more as a cat and mouse game and while this one was similar, it felt a lot darker and more mature. Strand continues to impress me with his writing and has quickly become one of my favorite authors.

Scott Thomas continues to do an excellent job with his narration. I love his character voices and how well he brings the story to life. His range is really quite broad and I think he perfectly voices each character as they should be voiced. George, Lou, and Eugene are just so much fun to listen to.

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

Terror Continues

I enjoyed the first 2 book as well as this one. It contains gore/horror and werewolves (but no zombies) with humor. Loved George and Lou they are fun characters as well as Eugene and Ally. They set out to destroy Asher Anderson, Ivan is a bad one, I hope he continues the series. This book is a fun laugh out loud at times book with good narration. There is room for another book (I hope since the last book done 4 yrs ago). Highly recommend the series!! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. Thank you!

George and Lou are Back and Better than Ever!

Anyone who has read my reviews of Wolf Hunt 1 and 2 knows that one of the things I like best about this series is the author’s ability to surprise me again and again and again. Well nothing you’ve read before can prepare you for what’s coming this time. George and Lou are back in action (yes, I know Lou’s dead, but there are werewolves in this story so you should know that absolutely anything is possible) and everything that made you love them in books one and two is back again, bigger and better.

George and Lou are two of the strangest heroes in all of fiction. They are not nice men. They are petty criminals who hurt people for a living. But the willingness to stop at breaking a few bones and leaning on deadbeats makes them come off looking like honest-to-God saints compared to the true villains of the piece. Add to that the sarcastic, drive-your-car-off-the-road-its-so-funny humor, and you are in for a wild adventure.

George and Lou and a surprise cast member are off to kill the werewolf king to prevent him from starting a war to subjugate all humans to lycanthrope rule and as you might guess from the previous books, they have no chance of pulling their mission off. It’s not even clear they can reach the werewolf king’s home because of the long list of men seeking vengeance upon them for their actions in the previous books. It’s one hilarious mishap after another as George and Lou discover that you don’t have to be a lycanthrope to be one sick customer.

Scott Thomas reprises his role as narrator of the audiobook and I’m very glad he did. His characterizations first brought George and Lou to life for me and they continue to make this series excel. He’s the sort of talent who could get a base hit out of any wild pitch, but when you give him a real treasure like Wolf Hunt 3, he hits it out of the stadium and into orbit.

I got this book free from Audiobook Boom in exchange for an honest review.

Strand is a genius

The first 2 Wolf Hunt books are a riot and Wolf Hunt 3 is even more so. George and Lou are the two hit man you want to encounter on a dark night. OH yeah and there are Werewolves.

Strand! Getting the band back together, man!

Strand! Getting the band back together, man!

Against all odds Lou and George are back in business and hitting the road. They may even pick up an old friend or two along the way.

Another winner in the Wolf Hunt series with all the typical Strand wit and appropriate amounts of death and mayhem.
I listened to this one on audio and Scott Thomas really nails it like I knew it would. His pacing and tone fits perfectly with the characters and the wacky action.

I needed this.

Ever since WH2, I've been dying to see what happens to our plucky Trio and Jeff Strand doesn't disappoint! I think the thing I love most a out this series is the whitty and incredibly funny banter the characters get into. whether it's the main characters amongst themselves or when aimed at the evil person at the time, it's always a great listen and never fails to crack me up. Without giving thing away, I can honestly say that if you enjoyed the first two in this series, this book will NOT disappoint. Scott Thomas reprises his role as narrator and half the fun was getting reacquainted with the characters he voices so well. Eugene is still a pathetic mess but he's a loveable mess and Scott Thomas absolutely helps bring him and the others to life. Really looking forward to Wold Hunt 4!!!

A zombie, a werewolf, and mobster walk into a bar

and yes it gets blown to hell then set on fire. Then they get kidnapped by drunk hillbillys where they play an insanely hilarious game of whos on first that leads to....you guessed it more murder. I'm so beyond glad that I kept up this serious because its been a laugh out loud romp. Um I mean a really good horror story, either way this is a must read.

Great continuation of this series but also would work as a stand-alone. Love the cast of characters and the imagery the writer creates is awesome. I received a free copy and left my honest review

Go buy the Wolf Hunt Trilogy!

This was an excellent conclusion to the Wolf Hunt series, I really enjoyed it.
I wouldn’t recommend it as a stand alone. It is a complete story, but you will get so much more out of it if you know the main characters.
I don’t typically enjoy horror, violence or gore, but because of the great cast of characters and humor this was still very fun for me.
Narration is simply amazing. Character distinction, pace, conveying of emotions and humor.. all perfectly done. It’s a treat to listen to!

Highly recommended for people who enjoy horror and humor.
But go buy the Wolf Hunt Trilogy, instead of this book! The complete trilogy for 1 credit is an awesome deal.

I got this Audio Book for free (thanks!). I'm voluntarily leaving this review.

Brilliant love it

Loved books 1,2&3. The most entertaining, funny and adorable set I have listened to. The narrator is the best ever. Delivered with humour and brilliant voice and character acting. Wolf hunt was my first Jeff Strand book, I became a instant fan, but the other books don’t come close to this series, sorry Jeff. George and Lou are superb hilarious characters. The monologues are Tarantino quality. Intelligently written. Wolf hunt 4 please Jeff. Narrated by the same talented guy.

Blooming love Jeff Strand!!!

I love the humour in Jeff Strand books and wolf hunt 1 and 2 both delivered and the 3Rd was just as funny and amazing. I don’t want these characters to end, Louie and George are both adorable and I love Ivan’s humour. Please you need to keep these characters going!!!!

The gory humour continues - and I love it!

The original Wolf Hunt was the first Jeff Strand book I ever read (heard).
By the end, George and Lou were my new favourite characters in fiction.
If Jeff Strand chooses to write more Wolf Hunt stories, I can say with absolute certainty that I will always come back for more.
