Publisher's Summary

Once he was a valued key operative in Canada’s special forces.... Now the man known only as Logan has fallen on hard times. Alcoholism, the memory of a disastrous mission in North Korea, and a dark secret known only to himself have all taken their toll on Logan’s tormented soul. Reduced to the level of violent drifter and petty criminal fleeing a murder rap, he is suddenly snatched and spirited to a research complex in the Canadian Rockies...to become a very special guinea pig in a super-secret biotechnology experiment.

Under the direction of the brilliant, unscrupulous, and enigmatic Professor, Logan begins an agonizing transformation process to harness his mutant powers and forge him into “Weapon X” - an unstoppable, indestructible killing machine, a bringer of mayhem with retractable harder-than-diamond steel claws and the ability to recover from any wound. But as Logan’s mind and body are invaded and tortured with agonizing procedures in an effort to gain total control over him, the Professor and his gifted team fail to recognize Logan’s unbreakable will, his secret heritage, and his greater destiny - with catastrophic results.

Great adaption!

Absolutely riveting! Love the voice actor, writing and adaption from wolverines most notorious adamantium-beginnings.

Sadistic and depressing

Unlike other Wolverine stories, this origin story is terribly depressing. Violence is sadistic in nature, and there’s very little of Wolverine in the story. Narrator is just okay, and his spliced corrections are very noticeable. I would not recommend this book to anyone.

Painful to listen to at times

Narration needs serious help. Great read for all those that don't really know Logan's story.

Vivid story

As the story was read the words in the story made me feel I was actually there and I can visually see everything as you speak

Performance is terrible

Performance is terrible and the script wasn't much better. Wolverine is overexposed and this material surely won't help

Booooooooring

Ok. Maybe I’m being too harsh. Or am I??? Chapter 15 is the best of them all. The parts in Logan’s memories are somewhat great. The last chapter is really good. But the rest is nothing but a soap opera about everyone else. 85% of the book is like that. Like claws in our bellies these are the days of our lives. Chapter 15 was great. Until it wasn’t. But I’ll give the narrator 4 thumbs up. He did an awesome job with the crap he was given. I forced myself to hear the rest just to see if it got better………..😐

story was ok, performance was lack luster

i enjoyed the story, however there were parts of the narration that sound like they were added at later date. it is a little jarring when you hear them.
