Story
Here is Trump in action—how he runs his organization and how he runs his life—as he meets the people he needs to meet, chats with family and friends, clashes with enemies, and challenges conventional thinking. But even a maverick plays by rules, and Trump has formulated time-tested guidelines for success. He isolates the common elements in his greatest accomplishments; he shatters myths; he names names, spells out the zeros, and fully reveals the deal-maker's art. And throughout, Trump talks—really talks—about how he does it.

By twenty-two, she had resigned herself to employment, but was still broke, directionless, and working a mediocre day job she’d taken for the health insurance. It was there that Sophia decided to start selling vintage clothes on eBay. Eight years later, she is the founder, CEO, and creative director of Nasty Gal, a $100 million plus online fashion retailer with more than 350 employees.

Publisher's Summary
Note: A portion of Ivanka Trump's proceeds from this book will be donated to charities committed to empowering and educating women and girls.
I believe that when it comes to women and work, there isn't one right answer. The only person who can create a life you'll love is you.
Our grandmothers fought for the right to work. Our mothers fought for the choice to be in an office or to stay at home. Our generation is the first to fully embrace and celebrate the fact that our lives are multidimensional. Thanks to the women who came before us and paved the way, we can create the lives we want to lead - which look different for each of us.
I've been fortunate to be able to build my career around my passions, from real estate to fashion. But my professional titles only begin to describe who I am and what I value. I have been an executive and an entrepreneur, but also - and just as importantly - a wife, mother, daughter, and friend. To me, "work" encompasses my efforts to succeed in all of these areas.
After appearing on The Apprentice years ago and receiving a flood of letters from young women asking for guidance, I realized the need for more female leaders to speak out publicly in order to change the way society thinks and talks about "women who work". So I created a forum to do just that. This book evolves the conversation that started on IvankaTrump.com, where so many incredible women (and men!) have shared their experiences, advice, ambitions, and passions.
Women who work lead meetings and train for marathons. We learn how to cook and how to code. We inspire our employees and our children. We innovate at our current jobs and start new businesses.
Women Who Work will equip you with the best skills I've learned from some of the amazing people I've met, on subjects such as identifying opportunities, shifting careers smoothly, negotiating, leading teams, starting companies, managing work and family, and helping change the system to make it better for women - now and in the future. I hope it will inspire you to redefine success and architect a life that honors your individual passions and priorities, in a way only you can.
*The Ivanka M. Trump Charitable Fund (the "Fund") is a donor advised fund that supports the economic empowerment of women and girls. Ivanka Trump is the grant advisor to the Fund and sole member of IT WWW Pub, LLC (the "LLC"), which receives royalties from the publication of Women Who Work. The LLC will contribute a minimum $425,000 to the Fund, which is the unpaid portion of the advance, net of expenses. In addition, the LLC will contribute all future royalties it receives that are in excess of the advance to the Fund during the period from May 1, 2017 to May 1, 2022.

Good
I unfortunately had to return the audible copy. I believe they tried to find a narrator that has a similar tone of voice to Ivanka- soft. Though the narrator did that at parts, she often started to sound "robotic" in a way and it made it hard for me to get into the book. I purchased a physical copy and found many topics and points valuable that I will definitely put into play in my own career.

For privileged women
As she had some great points it was more geared towards women who run companies with a nanny, cook and maid. As she had some great points and I feel like I can relate since I have children, work full time and buying a company. I believe it's almost a dream entrepreneur lifestyle instead of the common reality.

Ivanka trumps AGAIN!!
( I am not an American, don't live in the US, have no preference of who gets to be the president of the United States, and I hold equal respect for all readers to this book regardless their political standings. My only intention here is to give a sincere and objective review the best I can. So, here………)
First, I was shocked to find out, upon finishing reading this book, that the average rating of this book at amazon.com is merely 2.7, and most of the published reviews tend to focus on author's links to her father and "wealth".
However, as a veteran "woman who works" who has tried almost all the workplace scenarios mentioned in this book (including new & starting, sitting at the managerial position…… to founding her own business), I find this book tremendously smart & helpful!
It begins with building women's inner strength, teaching women to sensibly choose and affirm, then smoothly moves to remind women of the critical skill sets needed, such as communicating, negotiating, time-managing……… to master fluidly in most workplace context.
Throuhout the book, you view cases, testmonies, experience sharing, surveys & studies ……… There is never a dull moment in exploring various subjects with the author. Definetely a stimulating & inspiring learning curve!
There was Chinese edition of Ivanka's first book, "Trump Card" (2009), which I gave to practically all the young women around me (my aides, my students, my nieces & Goddauhters………) because I felt I simply could not have taught them better myself about embracing the world in a truly modern, independent & fearless way than Ivanka!
A decade later, Ivanka has trumped again with this solid guidebook! I congratulate her, and I look forward to more books of her on working, learning, growing & leading!

Best for working moms with young kids
This book is really geared toward women with young kids. A lot of the chapters near the end were irrelevant to me, an empty nest mom. That said, I did enjoy the book on whole and it was worth my time. The narrator was really good, but I wish Ivanka had done it all, not just the forward.

Balanced and honest review here.
What did you like best about Women Who Work? What did you like least?
Some of Ivanka's personal stories give a nice flavor and background to her and to the book respectively. I would have liked more personal stories interwoven with the lessons learned from the masters of the business. Overall this was not good enough to make it stand out.
If you’ve listened to books by Ivanka Trump before, how does this one compare?
I have not.
Have you listened to any of Kathleen McInerney and Ivanka Trump ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Kathleen does fine she carried the "story" for me. I do think Ivanka should have narrated the whole thing.
Could you see Women Who Work being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
No.
Any additional comments?
Full spirit of disclosure. I like Trump and I think he is doing good for this country. I have also bought a satirical magazine of Trump. So I like the man and I can laugh at him as well.
If you are looking for inspiration there is just not enough here. A few good tidbits, but not enough of a desert to make a whole meal.
Sorry, I cannot give this more then 3 stars for the content.

Pass on this
I was hoping this would be good but . . . Before listening to this book I listened to Ivana Trump’s book and felt that had much more useful information and was more interesting. This felt like pandering to a “target market.” Lots of ideas were recycled from other sources and were generic.

Great book for every woman to read
Though many argue that this book contains logical information, sometimes we need to be reminded of it. I am a veteran, Marine wife, and a new mom. I recently graduated with a BS in business and started my cleaning business . I listened to this audio book while I was working and it gave me motivation, it reminded me about self worth, and not to feel guilty about wanting to work even though I just gave birth to my baby.. It's okay to be #multidimentional!
