Awesome Audiobook

This book is not for everyone (I don't think). However, I LOVE it! To be honest, I've felt defeated and irritated with food because I have done one diet after another, even diets that weren't "diets" but were more lifestyle changes and nothing has made me happy or stable. The thing with this book is you have to read it in it's entirety and take things slow. Food, dieting, your weight, all of it can cause some real mental and emotional issues, and this book takes the pressure off. It gets long at some points, but overall I'm doing way better with food than I have in a long time.

Great audible

Great book (so far). I am working with my therapist through this, and she says its great. One word of advice, take this book slowly and don't try to do it all in an expedited about of time.

Changing my eating habits

The workbook would be great on its own or to use along with the book. I am using this along with the actual book and I am really starting to understand my negative relationship with food. The intuitive eating process is a gentle way of changing eating habits and the workbook helps you take a look at your own history with food.

Got great suggestions

I've spent my life on one diet after another, and they never did anything but make me feel crazy around food and put on even more weight. This book truly is the something that everyone who's struggling with food and eating issues should listen. It's a very common sense book with great information as to why exactly diets won't work. It's very easy to understand and has great suggestions for making peace with food!

Helped me to stop my binge eating!!!

This book helped stop my binge eating!!! After years of bulimia followed by years of binge eating I've stopped. This book teaches you how to listen to your hunger cues and to stop when you are satiated. I truly believe I've been given the proper information and tools to never binge again and listen to my body. As a result of the binges stopping and truly listening to my body I've lost quite a bit of weight.

Lots of valuable information!

I was surprised at the value of this book. Because of the principles discussed in detail I have learned to become more responsive to my body cues for both hunger and satiety. I would recommend this listen highly. Lots of valuable information.

Balanced intuitive eating practice

There is an amazing amount of balance when it comes to the intuitive eating practice. I can eat whatever I want, but I focus on what makes me FEEL good, whether it be physically or emotionally. I would caution those who have been dieting for over half of their existence (like me) that it might be tempting to take the guidelines in this book and turn them into rigid rules. Be patient with yourself as you go through this process. This book takes you back to the way that you were DESIGNED to eat. I have a few intuitive eaters in my life and while they are not all thin (body diversity is a real thing) they all tend to eat what they want with no real pull to it.
