Publisher's Summary

Louise L. Hay, best-selling author, is an internationally known leader in the self-help field. Her key message is: "If we are willing to do the mental work, almost anything can be healed." The author has a great deal of experience and firsthand information to share about healing, including how she cured herself after being diagnosed with cancer.

An excerpt from You Can Heal Your Life: "Life is really very simple. what we give out, we get back. What we think about ourselves becomes the truth for us. I believe that everyone, myself included, is responsible for everything in our lives, the best and the worst. Every thought we think is creating our future. Each one of us creates our experiences by our thoughts and our feelings. The thoughts we think and the words we speak create our experiences."

Definition of toxic positivity

There may be some hidden gems, but this book is full of outlandish, cult like claims (I showed someone how to be so positive that their vision improved and no longer needed glasses, yeah ok.) Lots of these types of claims and victim blaming - just be positive and you won't get cancer and if you do, it's your fault because you weren't positive enough. Save your credit.

Robotic narration

This book was highly recommended. At first I ordered on audible a version that the author narrated herself but then I realized it was only the first 4 chapters of the book. So I returned it and ordered the full version. The the sample of the abridged version Louise Hay narrated was so much better than the narrator of the full book. He monotone and at time robotic. It almost sounds like a computerized voice.

Excellent Self Help Book

Louise Hay offers wisdom & insight for anyone that wants to improve or heal their life. I’d suggest reading this book because the narrator is monotone & painfully Slow. You’ll need to increase the speed to get thru it.
