Watch your back I'm coming for you

Lylah and her friends can't wait to spend a night out together. Partying is the perfect way to let loose from the stress of life and school, and Lylah hopes that hitting the dance floor with Chace, her best friend, will bring them closer. She's been crushing on him since they met. If only he thought of her the same way....

The girls are touching up their makeup, and the guys are sliding on their coats when the doorbell rings. No one is there. An envelope sits on the doormat. It's an anonymous note addressed to their friend Sonny. A secret admirer? Maybe.

They all laugh it off. Except Sonny never comes home. And a new note arrives: Your turn.

Critic Reviews

“Preston's latest mystery reads like an homage to a nostalgic Fear Street novel.... An enjoyable blend of mystery and horror.” (Booklist)

Endless whining narration

I can't understand these reviews and why no one complains about the narration. Normal voice is a bit hard on the ears but then the main character whines incessantly and the narration becomes sheer torture.

made me lose sleep

you know a book is good when you'd rather listen to it than sleep, listening to it also helps keep it a mystery since you cant accidently read ahead and see a huge spoiler, so glad my friend recommended this, helped "kill" alot of time at work

it would make a decent movie

I enjoyed the plot, it would make a good thriller movie. I just wish I connected with the characters, maybe I would have cared about the deaths more.
That's not on the writing, though, I rarely connect with these personality types.

Anna Parker-Naples's narration was great!

it was good but could be better

ok, let's start off with saying how annoyed I was with the main girl. like, ugh she was annoying asf. I love the relationship build up for lyla and chase. I thought it to be cute. I seriously was thinking that the person they thought is the killer/stalker, couldn't be him. I was telling myself its not him and that what if he was already murdered by the real killer first? I did guessed wrong but I also did guessed somewhat correctly too. but I didnt think it was going to be who it turned out to be. its kind of weird, honestly. but overall, I did enjoy the listen even though lyla was a bit annoying. at least the narrator voicing it, was making her out to be.

Wow! Read now!!!

This book is crazy! There are sooooo many plot twists it’s amazing!!! Sadly, it left on a small cliffhanger. I’m not sure if there will be a sequel, but I am very satisfied!! If your looking for a suspenseful mystery book, this is for you! I’m still shocked on how it ended but I won’t leave spoilers! You need to read this!

Loved it

I love the first book, and the second although they seem in no way related. She is an amazing writer.

Meh

I was under the impression that this was a sequel to The Cellar. This book had nothing to do with The Cellar. It was definitely readable but kept going on and on about the same things. It was kind of predictable.
