Publisher's Summary

Eight years ago, Addie Webster was the victim of the most notorious kidnapping of the decade. She vanished - and her high-profile parents were forced to move on.

Mark Webster is now president of the United States and fighting to keep the Oval Office after a tumultuous first term. Then the unthinkable happens: The president's daughter resurfaces. Addie is brought back into the family fold, but who is this 16-year-old girl with a quiet, burning intelligence now living in the White House? There are those in the president's political circle who find her timely return suspicious.

When a national security advisor approaches Darrow Fergusson, Addie's childhood best friend and the son of the president's chief of staff, he doesn't know what to think. How could the girl he's missed for all these years be a threat to national security? Still, at the risk of having his own secrets exposed, Darrow agrees to spy on Addie and soon realizes that his old friend is much more than the traumatized victim of a sick political fringe group. Addie has come with a mission...but will she choose to complete it?

Page turner!

I stayed up all night listening. Fast paced. Both writer and narrator rocked! No obscenities that took away from the story. Hope there is a sequel.

Suspenseful, thrilling, and intriguing plot!

Great story, but the author's poor grammar made me want to pull my hair out.

9 hrs of my life I will never get back.

Think Nancy Drew goes to Washington. At best, teen literature. Disappointing and predictable. Waste of time .

More of a ya book

An included book that was good enough to listen to while I walked. No big plot lines to follow

Awesome book and excellent reader

Andi Arndt was great at reading this book. She used different voices for narrative and characters. Awesome read and story line.

Great story, ending needed more

I enjoyed the book, but I needed more closure at the end. It was good enough for me to read book two and hope things will unfold more for the main characters and one minor one.

complex

While I thought the story was good, parts of it seemed implausible. The personal protection parts seemed, while working for the story, wrong.

Good performance, bad story.

While this book had decent audio narration, I felt the story could have been stronger. I disliked the ending as well. I don’t think I’ll give this another try, both the book or the author.
