Publisher's Summary

Rupi Kaur presents an all-new performance of milk and honey, her number one New York Times best-selling collection of poetry and prose about survival, the experience of violence, abuse, love, loss, and femininity. This new production was recorded in 2021 along with the first-ever recordings of her number one best sellers the sun and her flowers and home body, all of them performed by Rupi Kaur.

The book is divided into four chapters, and each chapter serves a different purpose. Deals with a different pain. Heals a different heartache. milk and honey takes listeners through a journey of the most bitter moments in life and finds sweetness in them - because there is sweetness everywhere if you are just willing to look.

loved it!

I loved this, it comes at a time when I really needed to hear these words. I did want to mention that the first part of the book can be triggering, as there are references to sexual assault. I do, however, think that obviously this is brought up as part of the author's healing process, and none of what she brings up is "just for shock value". I really appreciate having been able to hear the words in her voice. I highly recommend this.

Pleasantly surprised!

I an not a huge poetry fan. I chose this book because if a reading challenge I'm participating in. However, I was pleasantly surprised by these poems. They are beautifully written with creative imagery and expression.

cried.

this book was so amazing and i could feel it in my soul the way she read it and the way she used her words and everything. it felt like my life was in a book and someone else watched it, wrote it down, & narrated it. i 10/10 recommend.

actually good poems

i enjoyed listening to her pain and healing. many of the commenters dont like the book because Rupi talks about everything..all the trauma..sexual abuse...neglect etc..and some people arent ready to deal with the things affecting their own lives.

i think you'll enjoy listening to this.
