The book is a collection of stories written by Gautam Rajbari, a Colonel in the Indian Army. These stories are inspired by the experiences and challenges of his military life, especially during his deployment in Kashmir. Through these stories we are transported to a whole new world - a world where we get a glimpse into the lives of soldiers and with them experience a mixture of emotions that’ll make us cry and laugh at the same time. 

We often appreciate the courage of soldiers of the Indian Army, performing their duties in adverse circumstances, as we sit on the couch in our well-furnished, air conditioned rooms, expressing a slight tint of grief in case of a mishappening. The hot discussions over the matters on television boil our blood for a couple of minutes, but everything becomes normal after a short period of time. This novel reveals the lives of those soliders and their families - how terrorism proved to be fatal in different ways and how humanism reaches the highest peaks.
