Story
After the death of her grandfather, 19-year-old Jenna Solitaire finds an ancient wooden board hidden away in the attic of his house. Scorched by fire and covered in mysterious symbols, the board fascinates her and scares her at the same time. As does Simon Monk, the handsome stranger who has come into her life, claiming to know about the board. Even more frightening is the voice whispering in Jenna's head, calling her "Keeper". Does Jenna have power over the winds, as Simon claims? Is she truly the Daughter of Destiny?

Story
A day so gruesome, the numbers representing it are burned into my head. It was a normal day on the fields, the usual back-breaking job me and my mother had to do. Under the hot Carolina sun, we had to bend down for almost 16 hours a day. Planting or harvesting rice. My mom, Nana Asma’u, was an African; she was kidnapped from her village in Liberia. She told me stories of her village. She was kidnapped at around my age while on a trip to the Limba tribe in Sierra Leone.
